Psychotherapist

Hello!

My name is Tania Milton. I am a Psychotherapist at Levan Counseling and Consulting. I received my Master of Science in Co-Occurring Disorders Recovery Counseling through Metro State University, and I am licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work through St. Catherine’s University. I have worked in a variety of positions, with people from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, most being low-income. Over the years my background has ranged from domestic violence, women in recovery, and family advocacy, housing case management, autism (PCA w/children & adults), and for several years enjoyed my role as a Psychiatric Case Worker/Court Liaison, which consisted of working with inpatient psychiatry patients who have severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI), their treatment teams, and court teams for the purpose of civil mental & chemical health commitment processes.

As a person of color, I understand how hard it can be to entrust someone you do not know with your innermost feelings and thoughts. As your therapist, I will provide an environment that is genuine, safe, supportive, and non-judgmental. Whatever your motivation is for seeking therapy, we can work together as a team to determine what your strengths are and then determine how to use those strengths to get you where you would like to be in life.
