TELETHERAPY

Who is a Candidate for teletherapy?

Truly almost anyone can benefit from online therapy as long as you have a comfortable space and a reliable internet connection.

How Reliable is Online Therapy?

Studies have shown that online therapy is just as effective as traditional in office therapy. With free time being impacted in our “on the go” world we now live in, online therapy is very resourceful. Also, online therapy has been proven to be a helpful tool in remote areas to eliminate commute times or to avoid heavy traffic areas. Building rapport in an online platform is not as difficult as you may think as generationally we are moving more toward online communication for most areas of our lives. Online therapy is just following that trend. As such, reaching people where they are comfortable is the desire of each therapist, so it makes sense to use an online platform to reach many more.

What exactly is the difference between online and traditional therapy?

The only real difference is that instead of meeting with your therapist in-person at a set location, you get to work from wherever you would like to via the internet or phone. We can accommodate almost any schedule, whether you want to schedule an appointment during your lunch break, before you start your day, or just when you have a little free time. Rather than trekking across town, you can meet with your online therapist directly from home, the office, or even your car. This type of service meets you where you are and conforms to your personal needs for safety, comfort, and convenience.

Can I expect the same level of care from an online counselor?

Absolutely. The therapist that you will be working with online is the same one you would be paired with if you came into our physical location.

What can online sessions help with?

Whether you are recovering from infidelity, struggling with depression, or working your way through a tough transition, we can help. We also offer online couples counseling in addition to our individual online sessions.

What will I need in order to use this service?

It’s really quite easy. You only need four things: 1) a PC, laptop, phone, or tablet with a microphone and camera; 2) a stable and reliable internet connection; and 3) a quiet place where you can talk freely. We will send you a unique, confidential link to access your video session with your therapist. Other than that, you just need a desire for personal growth and a willingness to move forward.

As with face to face counseling, you will set up an appointment time with your therapist. At the scheduled appointment time your therapist will reach you by the agreed upon method. Appointments are usually scheduled in 45-minute increments, but you are welcome to discuss your needs with your therapist.
